1. Information Collection and Use
While we do not collect personal identification information directly from users visiting our website, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how visitors find and use Localplus. This data helps us improve the website and understand which marketing efforts are working. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, tracking only runs after consent is granted. See Section 11 for the full list of what we store and how to manage your choice.
2. Client Information
We assist contractors in garnering more reviews from their customer base. However, we do not keep, have direct access to, or interact with the information of our clients’ customers. We do not use any information of the customers of our clients for marketing or any other purposes.
3. Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about users’ interactions with our website. The use of these technologies helps us to improve website performance and user experiences. Users can control or opt out of cookies and other tracking technologies through their browser settings.
4. Data Retention and Security
We retain user interaction data for a period of 3 days before it is deleted. We have implemented necessary protections to secure the information we collect to avoid unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
5. User Rights and Choices
Users have the right to delete their personal data at any time. While users cannot access their interaction data, they can request the deletion of any personal data we may hold. Any queries or requests related to user rights and personal data can be made through the contact form on our website.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and, if we have their emails, by notifying them directly.
7. Legal Compliance and Jurisdiction
We comply with all applicable laws regarding data protection and privacy, including GDPR. We take the protection of personal data seriously and ensure that our practices adhere to applicable legislation.
8. Contact Information
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us using the contact form available on our website.
9. Text messages
To get in contact with our clients we will be sending text messages. We will ask for consent. Our messages are usually about their order status. You can at any time stop the messages by replying “STOP”. In this case, we’ll cease all text message contact. The text messaging will not contain any marketing materials, but will act as a client communication in case we need to get in contact with you.
10. Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
11. Cookies and Tracking, In Detail
We keep tracking minimal and transparent. Necessary storage is always on so the site works; everything else only runs if you opt in.
Strictly necessary storage: we use the browser's localStorage to remember your selected currency (USD, CAD, or GBP), your detected region (used to route you to the correct booking calendar), and your cookie preference itself. No personal data is sent to us or to third parties for this storage. It cannot be disabled because the site relies on it to function.
Analytics: when you grant consent, we load Google Analytics 4. This anonymously measures pageviews, traffic sources, and how visitors move through the site so we can improve it. It sets cookies under google.com (_ga, _ga_*). If you reject analytics, no Google Analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent.
Marketing: when you grant consent, we load Google Ads conversion tracking. This lets us measure which ads bring visitors to Localplus and to show relevant ads on Google properties. It sets cookies under googletagmanager.com and google.com. If you reject marketing, no Google Ads cookies are set and no conversion data is sent.
Visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland see a consent banner on first visit and can accept or reject each category. Visitors outside those regions are not shown the banner by default. Anyone can change their choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
Third parties: we also embed Cal.com for booking. Cal.com sets its own cookies on app.cal.com when you open or complete a booking, governed by Cal.com's own privacy policy. We do not control these cookies.
